Reliability

A beam-cross beam system with a diaphragm was used to make the floors which are located above the surface lighter.

Initially the design provided for a 6-storey building, but after it was prohibited to construct houses higher than 12 meters up Al Farabi avenue the designers chose this option. Given the fact that the foundation was prepared for a higher building the remaining floors have a higher margin of safety. The priority is given to specially developed and selected facade and roofing systems in which the most important component is highly effective heat insulation materials, for example, polystyrene concrete. It is widely used in construction for heat insulation of walls, floors, roofs, for construction of building blocks and partition and demising walls. Polystyrene concrete possesses good strength. Polystyrene slabs combine the virtues of concrete (strength), wood (lightness) and polystyrene (high heat-and sound-absorbing properties). Polystyrene concrete is widely used as thermal heat insulation. Polystyrene concrete with a thickness of 20 cm replaces 2.5  m brickwork.
